The Bioethics Program Begins its 10th year!

The Bioethics Program has just begun its 10th year. It was kicked off with the opening course: The Proseminar. Classes began with an introduction of new students and welcome dinner on Sunday, August 1st. This year, we have 18 Bioethics students, including several students interested in the new research ethics specialization. Thirteen students from Union's Leadership-in-Medicine Program also participated.

In addition to the usual educational activities and field trips, this year's class of incoming students had the opportunity to explore issues in Neuroethics with Professor Nada Gligorov and the chance to tour the newborn screening and brain-computer interface labs at the Wadsworth Center, the research arm of the New York State Department of Health.

Several new Bioethics Masters students were unable to attend the Proseminar but will begin their studies with the online courses this Fall. We would like to welcome all of our new students and wish them luck.
