The Bioethics Program Welcomes Scholar in Residence

The Bioethics Program would like to welcome our Scholar in Residence, Dr. Patrick Singy. Dr Singy is interested in The History and Philosophy of Medicine. His current project involves researching the demarcation between sexual behaviors that are deemed healthy and those that are in need of medical treatment or cure and how those classifications change throughout history reflecting cultural trends. The culmination of this project will be the book on the history of sadism that he will be writing during his time here. Dr. Singy will be joining us for the 2010/2011 school year as he completes this book.
