Zohar PhD Director of the Graduate Program in
Bioethics at Bar Ilan University, where he chairs the University Ethics
Committee.
Drawing on his experiences on the
Israeli National Commission for Health Care Allocation Dr. Zohar will
discuss� �Should This Baby Live?:
Insights on Allocating Healthcare Resources.�
Dr. Zohar is a member of the Ethics Committee of Rabin Medical Center, Petah
Tiquwa, and has been Faculty Fellow at the Harvard University Center for Ethics
and the Professions. He is also �a member of the Institute for Advanced
Study at Princeton. Dr. Zohar is Co-editor (along with Michael Walzer and
Menachem Lorberbaum) of the multi-volume Jewish Political Tradition
(Yale University Press).He has� been an
advisor on religious policy for Israel's Minister of Education and has served
and continues to serve on the ethics committees of several hospitals.
